Oh my God, that is powerful. I have tears streaming down my face as I write this.

I lived through Hurricane Andrew and its aftermath -- a bad storm but nothing like what you guys went through. Our newspaper's staff went through years of depression, wrecked marriages, alcoholism and despair after Andrew.

I can't imagine what you're still going through.

I can't tell you how much respect I have for your dedication and commitment. Gives me hope that our profession will survive for a while longer.

Like the people of New Orleans, I give you my thanks for being there. all best,

Oh man, oh man... incredibly powerful; punch in the gut powerful.

No pretense there; you get the photographers stripped to the bone.  Two years distance has given them the grace to speak dispassionately (almost) about their experience;  yet at the same time you can just “feel” their pain and heartache ready to spill out onto the floor in a kind of emotional stew that no one, except those that have been in that situation before, can ever hope to understand.

And for nearly 25 minutes this presentation, like a rat terrier on a mission, just doesn’t let up.  Great production, great technique; even the sound bed at the beginning and end was just right.

I've also forwarded this to our photojournalism professor, and will be sending it out to college media advisers as something they might want their students to watch.

I sent the link to my ex editor and publisher to show why we do what we do.

Let me add me congratulations for a wonderful piece of video storytelling. I'm planning on showing it to all my second-, third- and fourth-year j-school students. Bravo.

WOW. I am speechless. Moved me to tears. You guys are heroes, don't ever doubt that. We have now told our photogs they need to make time to watch this video.

As a photographer who covered Katrina and now am deeply involved in the paper's video efforts I had to drop you a note about "Eyes of the Storm".

It was just fantastic on all levels. The stories were powerful and the production was first rate.

Great job.

I was just blown away by a category 5 video documentary on the story of The Times-Picayune photographers and have sent it across the country to every documentary filmmaker and media person I know.

It was an important story for the record - like the stories of embedded reporters in Iraq - and one that needed to be told. Thank you, excellent job.

Excellent piece. One of the major networks is sure to broadcast this via the tele or internet. The eyes tell the whole story. You can't forget the eyes.
